Trayton (11 years old)

Trayton was diagnosed with Ependymoma grade 2 in 2015 at the age of 7 and travel 10 hours to stay at the children’s hospital.  We stayed 7 months at the Ronald McDonald House.  We spent 7 months away from our family where Trayton underwent 1 major brain surgery that took 12 hours.  2 intense rounds of chemo and then 6 weeks of radiation.  We got to go home in April 2016.  Trayton was stable for 3 years.  In March 2019 with Trayton 11 years old, we got news that the tumor is back.  He then had surgery again and 3 different times had a bad infection where he spent 8 weeks in the hospital.  Trayton did another 6 weeks of radiation and has some difficult challenges ahead of him.  In receiving this iPad will help us so much when we’re at appointments, or helping Trayton with his school work.  He can also stay in touch with friends and family. We as a family thank iKare4Kids so much for this donation.
