Project Description

While in Alberta in 2016, Mac sustained a trauma that resulted in his right leg being amputated.

We have all since healed from our family tragedy. Because of iKare4Kids support, we were able to keep connected with our family from afar and help us with our healing.

We are pleased to update that Mac is now 22 years old and has recently completed his Machining Course at the Kingstec Nova Scotia Community College in Kentville, NS, at the top of his class. Mac did so well in the course that he was recommended by his instructor to help tutor other classmates.

Mac is currently employed full time with Quality Machining in Windsor, NS. He spends a lot of his time playing on his collection of acoustic and electric guitars. Mac is now living independently in the Annapolis Valley with his loyal service dog, Wiggles. Mac looks forward to his weekends off in order to spend time with Wiggles and work on his Harley.

Mac has acquired quite a collection of legs as well as guitars. He has a scuba, a running and a walking leg. Nothing holds him back from enjoying life. Just this past winter he was eager to skate again for the first time since the accident!

Thank you for all your support!!
