Project Description
In January, Leo started coughing. It kept getting worse day by day. When the hospital took an x-ray, they found a huge tumor in his chest. The doctor in Fort McMurray sent Leo to the Stollery Children’s Hospital right away as he was having more trouble breathing. There he spent two months in the PICU. After that, he was transferred to the Oncology Unit for continued treatment. During this difficult time, Leo received many treatments including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery and physical therapy, among others. He has now been in the hospital for five months, only being allowed a two-hour pass every now and then. With the iPad donated by iKare4Kids, Leo has been able to learn, play, and facetime with us. It helps him pass the time and makes his days more enjoyable. Thank you iKare4Kids!
