Do I have to do more than just a factory reset for my iPad/Tablet?

Yes, you must ensure that all screen passwords are deleted and you are logged out of all accounts, such as find my iPad, iTunes etc. or this will render the device unusable. See our Donate a Device page for a complete list of the donated device requirements.

Will iKare4Kids accept iPad/Tablet accessories?

Yes, we accept undamaged charging cords, AC Adapters and cases as many donations come without these items.  Additionally we accept bluetooth keyboards and mouse/mice which turn an iPad/Tablet into a mini laptop that helps make the device more efficient for the older kids to do online schooling.  iKare4Kids also accepts iPad/Tablet holders ("iBolts), like those

Do I need to provide anything when I drop off my donated device?

Yes, please download and complete the PDF donation form and secure this to your donated device with an elastic band so that it does not get separated from the donation.  We take confidentiality seriously, therefore, it is important that we have your contact information and whether or not you consent to allow us to share

How can I ensure all of my information is wiped off of the device before being repurposed to an iKare4Kids family/child?

All gently used devices that are donated to iKare4Kids, goes to our IT partner, Technology Helps, where they ensure that the device is in good working order and that it is free of all information.
